Description
What can this glow in outdoorsmen knife sharpener sharpen?
The Blocks Outdoorsmen knife sharpener, which glows in the dark, can sharpen various cutting edges. Block Knife sharpeners feature a unique flex design in the handle, allowing the honing rods to adapt to your knife’s edge. Thus, you can enhance the sharpness of your knives by drawing the blades through the honing rods. We can sharpen kitchen knives, pocketknives, hunting knives, swords, daggers, hatchets, machetes, scissors, and any serrated edges. Instructional videos are available on our site.
Our unique flex design allows you to sharpen a variety of cutting edges. This includes all V-shaped edges from 17 to 24 degrees, conventional edges, serrated edges, scissor edges, and unusual shapes such as those found on snake-shaped daggers and hawkbills.
Safety Features found on our new outdoorsmen models.
Our outdoorsman’s knife sharpener features a patented non-slip grip, enhanced with a high friction overlay on both the bottom and top sides, ensuring a secure hold even on slippery surfaces. The vibrant yellow you notice is specifically designed to provide an excellent grip. Additionally, we’ve incorporated this non-slip texture over the thumb rest on the top side for superior control during freehand sharpening, making it ideal for use in the wilderness or any outdoor setting where a stable work surface is not available.

I came upon the Block Sharpener at a local gunshow, probably in the late 90’s. I thought it was a joke, after all the guy was not using a sharpening stone, how could this even work. I walked out with four and I have been using the same ones ever since. I purchase a few here and there as gifts to friends and family. When I say I have been using the same ones ever since I REALLY MEAN THE FIRST ONES I PURCHASED. Just pull the steel rod out, turn, voila , you are starting anew. Once you gain that minimal skill to master you are good to go. Filet, steak, bushcraft etc all get the BLOCK treatment. I then strop the hell out them JUST BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT I DO, usually arm hair shaving sharp after a few minutes.
