Fantastic Honer. I say Honer because its more of a Honer than a sharpener. It really doesn’t cut much steel, which is great because it means your knives will last so much longer. While this product is fast and easy to use, keep in mind that it’ll take you some time to get the hang of this sharpener. Paul is a master, this is his family’s legacy so it’s no surprise that he can take knife to razor sharp in under a minute.
If you expect to do the same thing the first time you try your new sharpener you will be disappointed. Don’t be, just keep practicing, keep watching the videos and listen to what Paul says. The most important thing (on straight edges) is getting down the roll out technique and bringing up the back of the blade. Once you master this your knives will be razor sharp. I’ve finally got it down, and I’ve been practicing for the past couple of hours.
Once you’re slicing paper effortlessly and shaving hair off your arm it’ll be so worth it! You can’t beat this little too, especially not for the price!
